SILVER SPRING, MD – A driver of a car crashed into a utility pole on U.S. 29 near Burnt Mills Avenue, causing the wires to come down, resulting in power outages Friday. The collision was first reported after 5:15 a.m. In addition to the wires coming down, a small brush fire started. The exact cause of this crash is unclear.
