TEMPLE HILLS, MD – A 32-year-old woman was crossing I-495 when she was hit by a vehicle, leading her to succumb to fatal wounds Friday.
This collision happened at 2:30 a.m. near Allentown Road. The pedestrian — Kerri Snead from Virginia — was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the crash site and had to go to the hospital for treatment of unspecified wounds. The motorist’s vehicle remained at the scene.
Officials shut down all the Outer Loop lanes to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process. All lanes reopened around 7 a.m.
