CHEVERLY, MD – Two people were killed after their Toyota Camry caught on fire upon getting struck by a hit-and-run driver before 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. This collision took place when the hit-and-run driver operating a Kia hit the Toyota Camry as it was turning left from 63rd Place onto Landover Road South. The driver and passenger from the Camry were pronounced dead at the scene. Police discovered that the Kia was reported stolen, and the driver has yet to be found.
