THURMONT, MD – A driver and passenger of a car succumbed to fatal wounds after they collided with a motorist of a semi-truck who tried to cross an intersection Tuesday.
This collision happened after 7 a.m. at the U.S. 15 and Roddy Creek Road junction. The car occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was unharmed.
The names of the deceased will not be released until their family members are notified.
Maryland State Police closed down the intersection to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
