Narrative
ABINGDON, MD – A head-on crash between a GMC SUV and Subaru SUV on I-95 injured two people and claimed the lives of a 45-year-old and 64-year-old man Thursday afternoon. A preliminary investigation showed that a driver of a GMC SUV – 45-year-old Dennis English, Jr. of Baltimore – sped on the interstate before losing control of his vehicle, crossing two lanes and going airborne. In addition, the impact of the head-on collision prompted English’s SUV to roll over. The Subaru SUV driver – 64-year-old John Mastropietroof New Jersey – also suffered fatal injuries. Mastropietro and English were pronounced dead at the scene.
