Narrative
SYKESVILLE, MD – A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on Maryland Route 97 in Sykesville on Sunday night. State Police responded to the scene and discovered that a Chevy Cobalt traveling south crossed the center line and struck three northbound vehicles. The driver of the Cobalt, Michael Fultz, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers and passengers of the three other vehicles suffered serious injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The Maryland State Police believe that speed and impairment played a role in the deadly crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
