Narrative
HOWARD CO., MD – A woman died early Friday in a two-vehicle accident along the highway in south-central Howard County.
The crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Route 32 west of I-95. This is southeast of Columbia near Guilford.
Police say that the driver of a westbound Ford Explorer lost control their vehicle and crashed along the highway. A second vehicle then collided with the wrecked SUV, fatally injuring the first driver, who died after transport to a local hospital.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.
Officials closed the highway for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
