Narrative
One driver was killed in an accident that happened around midnight on Route 113 on March 21st. Chauncey McKinley Johnson, 54, died when a box truck hit his Kia Forte around 11:20p.m. Johnson had been on Groton Rd. heading west. The box truck that struck his vehicle was northbound on Route 113 at the time. The other driver did stay until authorities arrived on site. While authorities responded to the crash, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration closed Route 113 to traffic. The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by the Maryland State Police Crash Team with the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division’s support.
