Narrative
ANAPOLIS, MD – A 47-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Thursday in a wrong-way crash along the highway in northwest Anapolis.
The accident occurred shortly before midnight along Generals Highway near Knollwood Drive. This is just southeast of Rolling Knolls Elementary School.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata entered the southbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a southbound 1997 Toyota 4Runner.
The wrong-way driver, identified as Jonathan David Rober, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics transported two passengers from the Toyota to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
