CLARKSBURG, MD – A rush-hour crash involving at least three vehicles along the interstate in north-central Montgomery County injured nine people on Friday.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-270 just past Clarksburg Road, which is just northeast of Clarksburg Premium Outlets.
Police haven’t shared any details about the nature of the accident except to say that it involved multiple kids and injured six adults and three children. It’s not yet clear how badly the victims were hurt.
The accident caused significant delays along I-279 in Clarksburg while crews worked to clear the wreckage and help the victims.
